American Dental Association and
Suvison
Announce Expansion of
International Promotions Partnership
CHICAGO, November 13, 2006
-- The American Dental Association (ADA) and Suvison, a global marketing firm,
have signed a two-year agreement that establishes Suvison as the international
promotional representative for the ADA.s Annual Scientific Session and World
Marketplace Exhibition, and expands on the first agreement signed in December,
2005.
The co-promotion will focus on the 2007 ADA Annual Session to be
held in San Francisco, California, September 27-30, and the 2008 ADA Annual
Session to be held in San Antonio, Texas, Oct. 16-21.
Suvison will
use its expertise and networking ability to help educate the worldwide dental
industry about the benefits of becoming more involved with the American Dental
Association. In addition to using its vast network to promote the ADA
Annual Session to prospective attendees, Suvison Europe S.R.L. will work
especially closely with dental dealers and manufacturers around the world to
bring them to the ADA World Marketplace Exhibition as attendees and
exhibitors.
The ADA recently announced a new name for its Annual
Session.s trade exhibition: the ADA World Marketplace Exhibition, which further
aligns the show with the ADA.s international business plan. One of the
goals of this plan is to attract more attendees (including dentists), dental
manufacturers and dental dealers who are based outside of the U.S., to the ADA
Annual Session.
Historically, San Francisco has been one of the most
popular ADA Annual Session destinations. In 2003, the last time the event was
held in San Francisco, it attracted almost 50,000 attendees. The 2007
event will feature more than 250 scientific sessions and workshops offering ADA
CERP-certified continuing education programs to dental professionals, along with
more than 700 exhibits, all held at San Francisco.s Moscone Center. The
2008 ADA Annual Session will be held in San Antonio, a city the Annual Session
has not visited for at least the past 25 years.
The ADA.s membership
roster includes more than 71% of practicing dentists in the United States. The
ADA also welcomes dentists from around the world to join the Association as
Affiliate members. Dentists who practice outside the U.S. and who join the ADA
as Affiliate members have access to valuable benefits including an online
subscription to both the Journal of the American Dental Association and
the new Professional Products Review, reduced member rates for ADA Annual
Sessions, travel discounts, and more.
The ADA's involvement in the
international dental community will help ADA members in the U.S. learn about the
products, services, and technologies evolving around the world, and how U.S.
dentists can benefit from them. The ADA is poised for significant growth in the
international market as more companies seek to reach the ADA.s membership base
and connect with U.S. dental manufacturers.
