The São Paulo State Dental Association (APCD), today has a very important role in the world dentistry.
In 2011, it celebrated its 100 years of existence, tradition and credibility.

Its membership is currently totalling approxmately 40,000 members, and its 89 regional branches are located all over the State of São Paulo.

The continuous updating and high-level professional training have always been among the entity’s major goals, which is also proved by over 50 years of its International Dental Meeting, one of the largest in the world.

The APCD is committed to the valorization of the dental profession and improvement of the public’s oral health, being involved in local, state and federal programs on oral health aimed at providing a better service to the population.

The structure of the APCD, with its modern headquarters and the School of Professional Education, seeks to advance dental practice and reflects the mission of this 100-year old dental society.

APCD's Centenary

The 2011 São Paulo International Dental Meeting, the APCD’s Centernary, was an outstanding event generating the growth of new business in different segments, and above all, a unique opportunity for dental professionals to network.

The meeting will offer a rich scientific program, covering all dental specialities and including the participation of national and international distinguished lecturers. Numerous courses, seminars, panels, workshop will be made available throughout its duration.

Word from the President Presidente Silvio Jorge Cecchetto The São Paulo State Dental Association (APCD), today has a very important role in the world dentistry. In 2011, it will celebrate its 100 years of existence, tradition and credibility. From its modest beginning with an ambitious vision, the Association has grown on national and international level and currently has some 40,000 members.

It is constantly reaffirming its institutional role and committment to dental profession, as as well as to enhancing it in Sao Paulo and Brazil. Since its creation, it has been working on the improvement of the oral health care system, offering specialist training and professional qualifications through continuing education and conferences held annually.

In the year it celebrarates its 100th anniversary, the APCD will be welcoming all attendees to its São Paulo International Dental Meeting. A unique and historical milestone, providing a vast range of professional growth opportunities, allowing dentists to keep up to date with the latest scientific achievements and new products on the dental market.

"Join in the growth" is the theme of the Congress, because that was the APCD's main goal over the years: to work for a united and strong dental profession that is constantly investing its resources in professional growth and development.
